Meet the library at Frederikkeplassen!

August 24 is UiOs Sustainability Day. The University library is bringing its library bike, books and effects to Frederikkeplassen. Meet us there!

Every year, the Sustainability Day is organized at UiO, with a focus on reuse, climate, the future and how to live more sustainably.

For the Sustainability Day we will take our pop-up library to Frederikkeplassen, and bring a selection of books that you can borrow, about reuse and the environment. All you need is a library card/student card. We will also be giving away used, out-of-print books for free, and a limited number of reusable Dr. Who shopping bags.

In addition, the Informatics library will bring their recycling box, where you can hand in used electronic equipment that students later use to make things like robots and other fun things!

This autumn, in collaboration with the Estate Department at UiO, the library will provide sewing machines and tools which can be borrowed from the HumSam library in Georg Sverdrup's house. And the Informatics library already has a drop-in box for electrical and electronic equipment, where all returned equipment is reused for learning and experimentation.
