Carpentry Online: Version Control with Git

Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills.

IMPORTANT: This is a 2-day workshop and to be held on 20th May and 27th May, 9:00-12:00 despite the date shown above. Attendance on both days are required. 

Target group and course level 

  • ​Graduate students and other researchers

  • Beginners. No previous knowledge about Git is required

Prerequisites

  • ​Have a computer with a Mac, Linux, or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc.) that they have administrative privileges on​

  • Have some specific programs installed (See details at course website)
  • Can attend both 20th and 27th May 9:00-12:00
