Data Carpentry for Social Sciences and Humanities Using R

Data Carpentry develops and teaches workshops on the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and its lessons are domain-specific, building on learners' existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills learned to their own research.

Prerequisites

Workshop format

This workshop is held on-site in the teaching room LINKEN.

The workshop runs from 09:00-16:30 over two days. There is ample time set aside for shorter and longer breaks.

Your instructors and helpers will be available throughout the workshop.

Registration

You will receive an automatic email to confirm your registration upon sign-up. Besides this automatic email, we will send a separate email to those who we could offer a seat at the workshop. For those who signed up by the soft deadline, we will aim to send an acceptance email or waiting list email within the 18th of November. After the soft deadline, the waiting list will be automatically sending out invites upon de-registrations.

When we receive more sign-ups by individual learners than our capacity allows, priority is given to UiO/OUS staff and students.
