Course presentation

Description

Open research is becoming the new normal and an increasing number of funders requires that researchers publish open access and share their data, methods and tools to improve research transparency and reproducibility. It also contributes to increased rigor, robustness and visibility of research studies. But what does it mean to make your research open and reproducible? And how do you do it?

In this course, we will introduce the concepts and policies within open research and reproducibility and give an overview over different components of open research. We will also discuss the benefits, challenges and ways of implementing these practices in your own research.

We will wrap up with a question and answer session where you will be able to ask us any questions you might have about open and reproducible research!

Target Audience

Primarily PhD students, postdocs, researchers, and research support staff at the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital. There are a few spots for external participants and participants from other Norwegian/Nordic universities are especially welcome to attend.
