Practical information

Remember to bring your computer with NVivo installed or ready to use via UiO Programkiosk.

  • On UiO-machine: install from Software Center
  • On private machine: download from winprog.uio.no (see license key)
  • Mac user? Use NVivo via UiO Programkiosk.
(Mac users can download a version of NVivo from macprog.uio.no, but on Mac we recommend instead using NVivo via UiO Programkiosk. NVivo is optimized for Windows, and the newest version of NVivo for Windows will be used in the examples during the course. The Mac version differs in the user interface and has less functionality.)
  • Source files
  • Project files must be stored on your home area or local hard drive, not in OneDrive or another cloud service.
  • With cooperation only one person can work with the project/file at a time.
  • Log in to NVivo is only for services UiO does not have access to.

If you need assistance with installation - contact the local IT manager at your unit.
