Description

This workshop is designed for researchers interested in improving their data visualization skills. Participants will have the opportunity to work on their own visualizations, applying concepts learned during the workshop. This session does not focus on programming tools; instead, it emphasizes the creative and strategic aspects of data visualization. Participants are encouraged to use any tools they are comfortable with, or even none at all.

The key requirement is to bring a draft, sketch, or conceptual idea of a data visualization, either in digital format or on paper. This will provide a tangible basis for further development and refinement during the workshop.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the fundamentals of data visualization.
  • Learn to communicate a clear message through visual choices.
  • Explore the use of color and design principles.
  • Develop a draft visualization into a more polished and effective final product.
  • Gain insights from peers and instructors through interactive sessions.
