This is where art and science intersect, but you don't need to be skilled artistically to communicate effectively. We are here to assist and teach you.

Exploratory Data Visualization

Using visualization to explore your data can help you discover trends, biases, systematic errors, and other unexpected parts of your data. We risk missing such discoveries if our data are only subject to general analysis tools and procedures. The pages below provide useful tools for exploring your data using different visual plots, charts, and formats.

Explanatory Data Analysis

Humans process information quicker when it is presented in a visual format (Knalfic, 2015: 42). A single well-designed visual can influence both your research visibility and impact. Browse the different visualization resources available to you to ensure you employ the correct visual, appropriate colour schemes and format to communicate to the public. Our page on visualization tools can also assist you in creating your visual quickly and effectively.
