Books: Most of the books on musicology are placed on level 3 (signature numbers 780-789).
Printed journals and magazines are placed on level 1 and in the open stacks on the floor below (level U). Volumes published before 1980 are kept in the closed stacks and have to be ordered. Journals and newspapers are not for loan and can only be used in the library. There are copying machines/scanners on all floors.
