Access to 7400 newspapers and magazines

UiOs students and staff can now get access to PressReader. The service allows you to read more than 7400 newspapers and magazines from around the world.

Newspapers from 125 countries, in more than 60 languages

Among the Norwegian newspapers are Aftenposten, Dagsavisen and a number of regional newspapers.

International newspapers include titles such as the Washington Post, Guardian, El Pais and China Daily. The magazines cover various topics from economics to art. The selection is large.

The newspapers and magazines / journals can be read in their entirety, and there are also free text search options in the articles.

Issues from the last 60 days

Through PressReader you can read the latest issue of newspapers and magazines. Older editions are available between 60 and 90 days. This is therefore not a complete media archive.

It is possible to download articles.

How to get access

On campus

Users who are logged in to the wireless network at UiO automatically get access to PressReader via pressreader.com, or via Oria.

Off campus

If you are off camupus, log in to Oria and follow the link to PressReader from there.

We recommend access via Oria in the browser for everyone who is off campus.

The app

There is an app, but for this to provide access, you must have used it on UiO's wireless network first.

The first time you use the app, you can go to "Sign in" and select "Libraries & Groups". Search for the University of Oslo, select it, and create an account. With an account, you can save favourite newspapers and bookmark articles you want to read.
