Data archiving

Research data sharing and archiving facilitates reuse, and contributes to more transparent and verifiable research.

There are national, international, general, and more discipline-specific archives that meet standards for archiving research data. The archives should follow the FAIR principles to ensure that the data are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

Researchers at UiO can choose the archiving solution that is most appropriate. However, we often recommend that you archive your data in a discipline-specific archive if it exists. UiO is a partner in the general data archive DataverseNO and the UiO Library is responsible for curating UiO's collection there.
