Choice of reference style
If your article is to be published in a journal, the journal decides what reference style you should use. Most scientific journals have their own reference style. Many journals follow a template based on the Harvard or Vancouver styles. For assignments and reports, the supervisor or the department will decide what style to use. If no specific style is required, select a style and use it consistently.
