Jewish Studies (TFO1013) - Introduction to Academic Referencing - bachelor

This 2-hour workshop gives an introduction to referencing practice and -styles for students of the program Jewish Studies and Intercultural Competence for Jewish Paths.

Learning outcomes

  • To learn how to cite sources in a university exam
  • To understand the importance of correct referencing in an academic context
  • To learn about the central referencing styles in the humanities and know where to find guidelines for each style
  • To begin to reflect upon both formal and ethical aspects of referencing practice

Lecture and group exercises.

Target group

Students following the programme Jewish Studies and Intercultural Competence for Jewish Paths at the Faculty of Theology.

The subject specialist for religion and theology.

Time and place

The course is offered as an integrated part of the course TFO1013 - Identity, Ethics and Intercultural Competence.
