Privacy and data protection in research - MN

Will you be using personal data in your research?

In this 90 minutes course we will introduce key concepts of privacy and data protection in research, review responsibilities, consider how to seek consent etc.

We will wrap up with a question and answer session where you will be able to ask us any questions you have about data management planning!

Target Audience

Researchers and research support staff from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences 

Learning Objectives

After the workshop, you:

  • are familiar with key concepts of privacy and data protection
  • are aware of what your responsibilities are
  • know how to move forward with research which includes personal data

The course will take place on Zoom and is delivered by The University of Oslo Library – as part of the Skills Development Project for data management funded by the Advisory council for e-infrastructure
