How to register for an account
You need a user account in our library system to be able to sign in to Oria. New users must visit the service desk at one of our libraries to register and get a library card. You will receive sign-in information by e-mail. Further information about the University Library's services to external users.
Users affiliated with other Feide institutions
If you are affiliated with an other Norwegian educational institution and have had your Feide ID registered in you UiO library account, please follow the guide for students and employees at UiO. NOTE: Select your own institution as affiliation (not UiO), and then follow the usual procedure for Feide login at your institution.
Why should you sign in?
You need to sign in to order books, save your search history and results lists and manage your loans and requests in [My Account].
Signing in does NOT provide access to licensed electronic resources. These are limited to students and staff at UiO.
How to sign in
- Go to Oria and click [Sign in] in the top right corner.
- Select Login for [OUS employees and external users]
- Type in your username and password and click on [Sign in]. Your username can be found on the back of your library card.
Forgotten password
If you have forgotten your password you can order a new password here.
Do you need help?
If you have followed the steps above but still can't sign in to Oria:
- Make sure that you are at the correct Oria URL: https://uio.oria.no/.
- Delete your browser history or try another browser.
